Wireless Meter Ban Enacted

Marin, County California made history on January 4, 2011 by unanimously approving the country’s strongest local ordinance criminalizing the further installation of so-called ‘smart’ wireless meters, in this case by the region’s monopoly energy utility, PG&E. [ Download PDF here. ] The ban builds on a model initiated in the City of Fairfax, CA.
